[일기] 2월 26일, 바보 오케스트라 김수환 추기경 추모 콘서트

Minor deviations I have done; didn’t go to the library, skipped the violin practice and workout.

I had not known that it was a memorial concert of cardinal Kim Sou-hwan until I took and looked into the pamphlet. No wonder so many nuns were there.

The orchestra provided a variety of programmes from vocal musics to a magic show. It was fun to watch over all, but the performance was rather risible than touching. In the first place, their selections of music had not a single association with the purpose of the concert.

And especially the violinist who played the Wieniawski’s concerto! As soon as she had come up to the stage, I remembered her. She was the main culprit of messing up the Bach’s double concerto at the last concert and this time also made egregious mistakes. What a grand finale!

Some minor deviations I did today: skip library, violin practice, and workout.

I had no idea that it was a memorial concert for the late Cardinal Kim, Sou-hwan until looking at the pamphlet. No wonder so many nuns were there.

The orchestra had a variety of programs ranging from vocal music to magic show. It was OK over all, but the performance was not so much touching as farcical. To begin with, their music selection didn’t have a single association with what the event was meant for.

Then the violinist who played the Wieniawki’s concerto! Hardly had she come up to the stage than I recognized her. She was the main culprit of messing up the Bach’s double concerto last time, and again she made egregious mistakes. What a grand finale!
