오늘은 씨네위 영화관에서 레미제라블의 상영이 종료되는 날이었다. 애당초 영화관에 자주 가지 않는 나는, 같은 영화를 영화관에서 두 번 본 일은 더더군다나 없었다. 하지만 근래 드물게 큰 감동을 선사해준 이 영화에 대한 감사의 표시로, 바이올린 연습과 운동을 포기하고 마지막 상영 타임을 골라 이 영화를 다시 감상했다. 상영관 안 에는 나를 포함해 모두 6명이 있었는데, 가운데 좋은 자리에서 앞뒤로 모여 앉아 영화를 감상했다. 내 앞에는 중년의 부부가 앉아있었는데, 영화 막바지에 흐느끼는 소리가 들려서 부인이 우나보다 했으나, 가만 보니 눈물을 흘린 건 남편 쪽이었다.
